The 2025 Norman E. Borlaug International Dialogue will be held October 21-23, 2025 during the World Food Prize Week, spotlighting the theme “SOILutions for Security”—a compelling call to recognize agriculture as a cornerstone of global peace and resilience.
Two influential members of the GFN will share their insights as keynote speakers at the Borlaug Dialogue:
- Paul Temple (United Kingdom) – A farmer and advocate for sustainable agriculture, known for his leadership in climate-smart farming and international collaboration.
- Patience Koku (Nigeria) – A passionate farmer and entrepreneur focused on innovation, food security, and empowering women in agriculture.
Their real-world perspectives will help shape the conversation around soil health, regenerative practices, and the future of global food systems.
As the world’s population grows and food systems face increasing strain, a shared understanding is taking root: soil is not just dirt—it’s a living, dynamic system essential to human survival. In a time marked by economic disruption, conflict, and environmental stress, this year’s Dialogue will explore how diverse sectors—from science and policy to farming and technology—can collaborate to build solutions from the ground up.
