Our farm is 2,800 ha (7,000 acres) that is arable, and we lease 2,800 ha. Our soils are mostly loamy that are drought and subsoil acidity prone. We grow cool season crops, including wheat, canola and have also grown barley, lupins and triticale.
What are you looking forward to most as you prepare to participate in the 2018 Global Farmer Roundtable?
I’m looking forward to networking with leaders in African agriculture to see how my no-till expertise and interests in new plant breeding tools (pro-bono) can assist in solving genuine pest and disease threats in plants across Africa.
