GFN member shares how vital trade is, how much tariffs hurt
By Pam Johnson2 minutes

Pam Johnson from Iowa took it upon herself to be active in advocating agriculture and has been heavily involved with a number of groups - including becoming the first female president of the National Corn Growers Association. Pam's a recognized international leader, and we're proud to count her as a member of the Global Farmer Network and she took part in the 2010 Global Farmer Roundtable. In fact, she and fellow GFN member Sergio Bortolozzo from Brazil were both instrumental in the formation of MAIZALL, The International Maize Alliance - formed by grower associations in Argentina, Brazil and the US.
Johnson recently was interviewed for and in a video at Voice of America (VOA) talking about how crucial trade is for American farmers - but, she and other GFN members will testify that free and open access to markets are vital to farmers everywhere!
